The Women and Heart Health Committee
The Women and Heart Health Committee of the Maine Cardiovascular Health Council serves as a resource and educational group for the promotion of cardiovascular health for all women.
Vision
The vision of the Women and Heart Health Committee is to improve the cardiovascular health for all women.
The Women and Heart Health Committee strives to:
Goal 1: Partnership and Community Involvement
Partner with the existing network of state, health care systems, and community programs that promote cardiovascular health (CVH) for all women, their families, communities, and one another.
Goal 2: Infrastructure
To support programs and policies that promote healthy behaviors and improves access to appropriate services for women using evidence based cardiovascular health information and care.
Goal 3: Health Care Team Awareness
To increase the health care team's awareness about women's specific cardiovascular health to include prevention, risk factors, symptoms, and care.
Goal 4: Public Information
To improve public knowledge of women's specific cardiovascular health to include prevention, risk factors, symptoms, and care.
Goal 5: Data Resources
To share data resources to assist with program planning and strategies to guide cardiovascular health promotion.
